An Important Lesson I’ve learned about Life or Business: "It's not who you are that holds you back; it's who you think you're not."
The person (living or dead) I admire most: I have two - my wonderful parents.
Favorite Book: Beach Music, (by Pat Conroy) To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby,
and Agatha Christie mysteries.
Favorite Movie: My “comfort” films include Under the Tuscan Sun, The Goonies, and anything
starring Audrey Hepburn.
Favorite Song: Lately, in an attempt to become a true South Carolinian, I have been trying to
master The Shag, (the state dance of South Carolina for all you out-of-towners) and
have not been able to get "Under the Boardwalk" by The Drifters out of my head!
However, for my mom I must add that by age five I could sing every word to “We Built this City”
and “Sara” by Jefferson Starship.
Favorite Spots in the Carolinas: Walking anywhere around picturesque Furman University or
downtown Greenville, SC; taking a stroll at sunset along the beach at Kiawah,
(especially when the dolphins are playing in the surf!); drinking wine by Lake Zimmerman in
Spartanburg; and meandering through The Biltmore during the Christmas season.
One way I spend my free time: Exploring the Carolinas and working on our
house.
My dream car: I’m not sure, but I do love driving around in my bright red convertible!
My dream vacation: To return to Italy on more than my collegiate foreign study budget.
I dream of little villas in tucked away places throughout Tuscany and Southern Italy.
One thing I want to do in my life: To move my parents to the Carolinas.

Skinny Dip Falls off the Blue Ridge Parkway is groovy, too.
Also, Old Sheldon Ruins near Beaufort - and the Carolina/Clemson football game when it's in Columbia. Also, a stroll along the Battery in spring in Charleston, a pontoon boat ride on Lake Lure, a hot peppermint patty at Goatfeathers in Five Points before Christmas shopping, listening to Skipp Pearson play "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" on saxophone at Hunter-Gatherer on Thursday nights during the holidays.
one way i spend my free time: Reading in bed with my dog beside me
