Only minutes from Asheville, Owl’s Nest Inn & Engadine Cabins is an intimate retreat nestled on 12 private acres in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Originally built in 1885, the Inn has been completely restored to its Victorian character, complete with charming antiques and wraparound porches (perfect spots for admiring the awe-inspiring scenery). The Inn features five endearing guest rooms, each with private bath, gas fireplace, cable television and telephone.

For guests staying in the Inn, a lavish full breakfast served fireside in the formal dining room begins each day. An evening reception is a special time for guests to mingle and share stories of the day’s adventures.

Those desiring a more secluded retreat can stay in one of the Cabins At Engadine. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Inn, the cabins offer panoramic views of the mountains from private porches as well as all the modern comforts of home. Amenities include a kitchen and living area, Whirlpool tub and cozy, wood-burning fireplaces.

In addition to simply relaxing at Owl’s Nest, an endless variety of excursions lure guests to go explore. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding or snow skiing (Cataloochee Ski Resort is only a 20 minute drive away) through the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains. Others may prefer a meandering drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, touring the famed Biltmore House or sampling Asheville’s many distinctive shops, museums and restaurants.

Directions: Located a convenient 15 minute drive west of downtown Asheville. Take Interstate 40 to exit 37. Drive south 0.1 mile to the traffic light for US19/23. Turn right and proceed 0.5 miles. The entrance is on left.
