At the Heritage community in the North Carolina town of Wake Forest, residents are discovering a world of activities designed to bring families and friends together.
Begin with the semi-private Heritage Golf Club, an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Bob Moore of the JMP Design Group. The course enjoys a 4.5 star ranking and is considered a great course for all levels of play – challenging, yet friendly. Three golf pros offer private lessons, ladies clinics and junior clinics.
The richly-appointed 3,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse is home to 1250 Heritage Restaurant, recently renovated and featuring superb cuisine with a Lowcountry
feel.

The private Heritage Swim & Tennis Club provides certified swimming instructors who offer lessons and supervise competitions and special events. There is a junior Olympic-sized, 10-lane swimming pool, 103-foot water slide and toddler pool. The fun continues with a second swimming pool which is opening soon and will feature a 250-foot lazy river, zero-entry wading area, in-water seating, spray toy, and expanded deck area with shade.
The tennis program is just as exciting, with clinics, private and group instruction, and yearly championship tournaments on Hartru lighted tennis courts.
Younger children will enjoy the three neighborhood playgrounds, a fishing pier on the pond, greenways, trails and picnic areas, and nearby, The Factory Sports Complex, with an ice rink, fitness center, go carts, shops for children and restaurants on-site.
